Do I need a home inspection?
The home buying process can quickly become overwhelming if you're not surrounded by the right team. A quality home inspector is not any less essential than a quality realtor, attorney or mortgage broker. A home inspection will inform you of the condition of the house/property and identify issues that can become very costly in the future if not addressed.
Can I perform a home inspection by myself?
You hire a plumber to fix your pipes and an electrician to fix your wiring so why not hire a professional home inspector to inspect your home? Hiring a home inspector eliminates the guesswork. You won't have to wonder when you have a thorough, accurate home inspection report. There are so many little details involved in the various system in a home that without the proper training and experience, you can easily and quickly become overwhelmed and overlook significant issues.
I'm purchasing a house. When should I schedule the home inspection?
Typically, the realtor will walk you through the process. They will let you know when it's time to call in the home inspector. Agreements between purchasers and buyers are usually contingent on results of a home inspection. If you still have questions about the time table, contact us.
Can a house PASS or FAIL an inspection?
No. A home inspection is for evaluation of the safety, operation and condition of major systems in a dwelling. There are no scores or grades. A home inspection report will tell you what you need to know about the dwelling and you get to decide whether or not the house works for you.
How long does a home inspection take?
This depends on the size and condition of the house. Typically, home inspections last between 2 and 4 hours.
When will I get the report?
We take pride in delivering timely, accurate reports. Most reports go out the next day. If the house has an extensive list of defects, it may take an additional day to ensure the report is accurate and complete.
Do I need to attend the inspection?
Your attendance is not required, however we always recommend that the client is present toward the end of the inspection. This allows for a walk through and it gives you the chance to ask any questions about the results of the inspection.
Will you come back for a follow up inspection at a reduced cost if a specific system requires further evaluation?
Absolutely. We work with our clients. If a certain system is defective or inaccessible and requires a follow up inspection, we will gladly accommodate you for a reduced, reasonable price.
How do I pay for services?
We accept cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, Zelle (QuickPay) payments.
